Life isn't always a bumpy ride. Isn't that true? I love it when life is smooth with no potholes to knock you to the roof; it's so much better when it's a calm cushy ride. But if it weren't for those bumps we wouldn't learn how to drive right when it's smooth sailing. We have to have those potholes to make us better, tougher and stronger drivers.
In James 1; we are told:
Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.
So it goes to say that when we get through our turbulance and have gained some endurance we can then start to define ourselves. Find our voice, find our peace, find our hearts and start to see the mercy and feel the grace.
These little towels make perfect gifts, especially for upcoming Valentine's Day. Can you believe we are talking about that already? I just got over eating too much sugar from the Holidays, now the isles at the stores are filled with more sugar, that I love, I mean one must have Dove chocolate in February, right? :)
Right now I am listening to Bon Iver and Mumford & Sons on Spotify. Both perfect when I am working on art. Tonight I am tackling a altered journal. I am diving into Jeanne's e-course Creatively Made and started making my journal. Can you believe I have never made an altered journal before? I have one Kayla made for me, so I guess that was all I needed; it is my prize sketchbook. Let me know if you are in the course as well.
