Oh my goodness I have been so inspired by hand lettering lately.  I had to start my own alphabet.  I love hand lettering, everything about it; I could easily be a sign painter; if everything weren't digital now-a-days that is how I would want to make a living.  Good old fashioned letter making.  

Here is who I have been inspired by lateley:  Lisa Congdon, Dana Tanamachi is amazing, Teresa McFayden has a e-course on lettering, and I am sure there is more.  

Give it a whirl if you haven't tried it.  I find some funky fonts and just try to copy them; sometimes I come up with my own; start with just drawing the basic letter and build from there.  Maybe in a few days I will give a little tutorial for you.
