First off, you guys are awfully sweet with the comments you left about my empty nest syndrome craziness. I appreciate your sympathy, empathy and knowledge. I don't have a whole lot to talk about lately I guess; I have been busy into the late hours trying to get shipments ready and now of course school work has started again. This could get overwhelming. And algebra just flat out sucks. :)
My photos are somewhat boring for this post. It was evening time and dark, well honestly it's even dark in the daytime around here lately. Just a whole lotta fog and dreary January weather. So either way I would have the lights on, which makes for not so great photography.
The black and white objects are from a very special order I made and were shipped to their owner the other day. I do hope she likes them. Because I kinda fell for them myself. I love black and white, simple and clean, don't you? On another subject; today I had to go to the local library to see if one of our friendly librarians would be a proctor for me, so I could go take my tests for 3 of the classes I have.
While in the library, I not only noticed all the beauty of the books, (i love books)! But there were so many colorful people in the library today. There was this little old lady with really really long gray braids and a colorful beret, a Buddhist of some sort, maybe a harikrishna person, I couldn't really tell for sure, a couple that I am pretty sure had finally got to dig out of the snow from their mountain home, and were stalking up on many books to read before heading up to their mountain home again, there was a Native man with braids and a feather in his hair sitting at one of the tables staring around stoic like and then laid his head down as if he were taking a nap. He did look up at me once; kinda mean looking, and I took that as a hey lady you are talking way to loud, I am trying to take a nap here, so I toned my voice down to the inside library voice while talking to the nice librarian. Remember I do not get out much, so I am rather excited to talk to people when I get a chance, although I needed to remember I was in quiet time place.
All and all it made for an interesting day, my trip to the library, I am looking forward to going back. Then I went to my little part time accounting job at the athletic club, and after being shoulder tensed up decided to run for a quick mile on the treadmill, but they were all completely full, I forgot it is the beginning of the year, every Tom, Dick and Harry are working out. No treadmill so I had to settle for the elliptical machine, I don't like it very much, I would rather run than glide. But while pumping my way to nowhere I looked up at the television monitor above me and saw these poor people being rescued from the plane crash in the Hudson river today. Did you see that? It was so sad, and I can imagine so horrifying. Not too mention that water was frigid. All due to birds flying in the engines. Incredible, and very flukish. What are the odds of that happening, or maybe it happens frequently, I don't know.
I dyed my hair the other day, from a box, Revlon brand, yes I am cheap. I seriously cannot afford to go get it done professionally, so I use the box. It works just fine, but I have really thick hair and need to remember next time to get 2 boxes because I missed some of those gray spots. Anyway, my thoughts on this are why doesn't Revlon have that yummy smelling after treatment conditioners bottled up to just buy? It is in that little paper/plastic tear the top open package, which by the way is really hard to "tear here" when you have water in your eyes and slippery fingers" , but that is another story. I just want the conditioner in a bottle to buy to use all the time! It smells soo good!
Okay I have rambled enough for now. Thanks for letting me ramble. Oh and thanks to the Farm Chicks for being so sweet to me today and mentioning me on their blog. Just so people know, I feel bad because my sisters help me a lot and I mean a lot with the work for those shows and they also make things, and sell things too. So kudos to Rhonda & Janet too!! :)
