Farm Chick Swaps & Buys

I love this chunky bracelet.  It's leather with a vintage piece of bling, and snaps together.  And I can't find the business card of the woman who made it.  She has really really cool bags too!  I think she was from Lewiston, ID. 

Traded for this what I call a little cupcake stand.  It is really cute.  I bought those vintage math flash cards, which I am going to frame and hang.

I also purchased a paper pack from Heather.  Some vintage buttons from Liz.  And I really wanted some vintage cowboy boots, but the gals from that booth didn't have any in my size, bummer.  Loved this booth with their Peace Within goodies. Snagged a tee-shirt. 

The same place I got the flashcards,  I also got my daughter a bunch of ephemera.  It was a super cool booth.  They had some vintage paint by numbers that I was eyeing to.  I wish I could go back.  I didn't even catch the name of their business.

Also my daughter has a few left over necklaces she made from vintage findings.  I am lucky to snag this one from her.

I think I could shop like this every weekend.  I miss it already.  I would love to hop on a plane in a few weeks and go to the Tumbleweed Cotillion!! 

Also, I am going to be making some more ruffle chandelier pillows, plus I am making them with the pink chandie too, does anyone else want one?  I have a few requests for some more, so if you are interested in one please let me know.  :)

I may not start making them until late next week, as I have a commissioned illustration for a sweet friend that I need to finish first.  So thank you for your patience in waiting for me, for those of you who have already requested them.  :)

Farm Chick Vignettes

Thank You Farm Chick Shoppers!

Just wanted to take this blogging opportunity to thank all of the Farm Chick shoppers out there who gave me and my sister's, and daughter such wonderful support during the show.  We literally sold out on many items, it was pretty cool.  So thank you ladies and a few guys who were so gracious, kindhearted and inspirational to us this last weekend.

I have to admit I didn't get to take a whole lotta photos, because it was pretty busy on Saturday and then Sunday I got to do a little bit of photo taking, but my camera didn't like the lighting inside the building and I neglected to use my flash, so some of the photos I am about to show are a bit blurry and maybe not as colorful as I would like. 

There was a ton of robin egg blue color in many different shades, along with pink, and white.  I think I may be the odd man out as I like creams, blacks, and really muted colors.

Heather's booth with some stylin' young shoppers.  Loads of cowboy hats, cowboy boots, peticoat dresses and aprons to be found at this show.  (Once again sorry for the blurry photo.)   Also, I need to mention how very nice Heather is; she was lovely to talk with, and has the sweetest voice and is just very gracious and a delightful person.  It was wonderful to meet her in person. 

 

It was equally as nice to meet Liz (in the white) along with her booth partner.  Liz has such a natural calmness about her, she makes you feel so at ease. 

I also met Adrienne, whom is business partners with Tracey.   Very adorable woman Adrienne is.  It was a great pleasure to meet her and chit chat.  I would love to go to their Tumbleweed Catillion show in Reno!  Maybe next year?  Another blogger and creator you would know is Bari.  Her work is fantastic.  If I wasn't saving money for new flooring and other projects, I would love one of her bags.  The craftsmanship is very incredible. 

 

 I promise to share more photos soon; not of booths really but more of objects.  See I am the odd one,  most people probably take photos of people's booths and set ups, me I gravitate more towards finding beauty in the object.  I really think all the vendors did beautiful jobs on their  spaces and trust me it is a lot of work setting things up and then taking them down.   Okay I am off to do some cleaning up, everything is pretty much in shambles right now and maybe I might even get just a little more rest, I keep waking up at 5am; what is up with that?  :)  Happy Monday everyone!

Sunday Stuff

Keeping with the theme of "I Saw Red" I captured a little image of my strawberry cupcakes from the recipe I got from Tina at Cherry Hill Cottage.  They are sooo very good.  I have the jumbo size muffin tins, and they are just the perfect size.  It seems the smaller ones, I take two bites or so and poof they are gone, but I am kind of a pig when it comes to cupcakes.

This is Annie, the best lawn mowin kid in town.  And she has pretty cheap rates.  She really looks like she means business doesn't she?  So cute, I love her!

Sneak peek at some of the vintage goodies my sister's, daughter, and I will have for sale at The Farm Chicks this coming weekend!  I am getting a little excited, but still am working hard at getting everything to come together.  I think I am down to the last final details, so hopefully by Wednesday I will be all finished and ready to load 'er all up.  I was reading details of the show events, and think it will be a lot of fun to meet the Country Living editors, and of course then there is the food list, good gracious, I am plotting my food booths stops as we speak.  The fresh cod is top on my list.  I should take before and after photos of myself, one before I go and then all the weight I will put on after the show.  :) 

I am off to finish tea dying a few items and watch our lightning/thunder storm we are having.  The weather is so pleasant right now, and I am soo thankful since our air conditioning hasn't been fixed yet.  God is good!!

Thank you to everyone who played along.  I have to admit I totally loved getting over 150 comments; my gosh it was amazing!  I usually only get no more than 6 comments on my posts, so this was like totally cool.  I admit it, I would love to have that everyday. :)  There are so many blogs out there that do get that many comments almost for every post.  Can you imagine?  Wow, that would probably be way too much pressure for me to try and keep pleasing people.  Maybe then you would loose what your blog is all about and end up trying to post things for attention instead of what it really means to you.  On that said, I loved my 150 comments, but I also love the closeness I get from my 4-6 comments too.
