The best Mother's Day present

i love it when my baby girl is home.  there is a lot of creating going on, usually in every part of the house.  she has several projects going on right now.  kayla doesn't fall asleep easy at night, so she is usually painting, or doing some sort of artsy thing.  last night she started a great painting on a slab of wood.  beautiful it is!  it's like living with a little elf who creates while you are sleeping and when you wake up there is always something gorgeous to look at. 

look at that beautiful mess.  it's great.  my art table has been taken over by a magnificent artist, i hope her good juju rubs off on me.

i can't wait until this little woodland piece is finished.  kayla is working on a body of work for her BFA portfolio so she can be certified.  i am so proud my heart is singing, she pulled off a 3.7 gpa this last semester.  now how cool is that!!
