Show & Tell & Thank-You's
Good Thursday morning everyone! Just wanted to pop in to say thank you for all the well wishes, as I am trying to get over this flu. This week has gone by so fast, I really can't believe it's Thursday already. Last thing I really remember was it was Sunday night and then poof here we are. I have been in the delirious state of flu I guess. Also wanted to send my hugs and kisses and well wishes to my baby girl Kayla. She came home for a visit this past weekend and took back with her this lovely flu. She has missed her classes all this week, so I hope she is feeling better soon. Thankfully she has super nice college teachers who have been understanding of her missing class. I wish I was there to take care of you baby.
Now for my show and tell. I was pretty thrilled to receive a complimentary copy of Romantic Homes magazine. My first ever published illustration is in the new April issue. I am quite humbled and excited all at once. I look at the illustration in print and immediately became critical and saw fifty things I wish I would have changed. I suppose artists are never really truly happy with their work, I just have to learn to let be--let it rest and stop being so over analytical.
I have to say that this particular issue of Romantic Homes is really great! And I am not saying that just because I got to contribute, but let me tell you if you haven't seen it yet, you will love it. It is full of french inspired homes, and just some really great articles. Corey has a great article about her beautiful French home; and let's all send our prayers out to Corey for her dad today, she has been going through such a rough time. Tara and Heather have a great little article I know you will love. All and all this issue is just a keeper. I hope you enjoy it too. And please take the time to read the story I illustrated for, it is really touching. I admire people who go out in the world and get to experience such amazing things. We all have our special talents, and I contribute thanks to blogging for helping me and so many others reach some new heights whether you are into interior design, art or writing; I have seen many women really get to experience great things from blogging. From publishing, to starting their own websites, experiencing connections with new friends; what a great outlet this has been for us.
So on that note; enjoy your weekend, as I probably won't post again until next week, unless I have enough energy to participate in illustration Friday. Thank you again for all of your well wishes!!!

Hi there. Love the illustration! I had so much fun reading that issue. I love the article that goes with the illustration. It's so true about the American smile. I didn't realize when I was in Europe. Did wonder why people didn't smile back though.
