Changing Space
I think I have the winter time blues, and decided to paint blue instead. This wall used to be a deep chocolate brown color, and now has been lightened up by a nice in between robin egg blue and celadon color. I have a rather large living room/ dining room combo, and can't decide whether to paint the whole room this blueish color or break it up with another color. Either way it's getting lightened up, changed, colors added. No more tans, browns, aged, colors. I want a whole different look. The black frame idea totally came from a spot in Sara's house, where she has some black frames together. I love these black & white images up against this color of wall, just the look I was after.
I am ordering these curtains from here, and adding some etsy art I have bought along with some of my daughter's art ; putting them in some cute little frames. I want to find some Antrhopologie type pillows at a cheaper price, do you know of any? I really love their pillows, but to pay $68 for one pillow is just not realistic for me. I have my vintage suitcases I will still keep and really anything vintage looking stays, just brightening up and changing colors a bit.
Have a great weekend, I am off to paint!

How wonderful! We have golden yellow walls in our living room - I really don't know what I was thinking! I'd love to move towards the color scheme you are using - I just can't bear the thought of painting the room again!

That is the perfect color! I love the blue, and another color I'm loving right now is an apple green. They both look great with black, white, and a splash of red.

Hi Teresa, My thought on the paint would be to go a shade or two darker in the blue family...maybe start where you left off painting and paint a WIDE strip of new blue and then go back to the blue you already have, etc.

What will you do with the curtains you already have? Keep them to add to your PLAY STASH????

I really like the curtains.
You are right about those black frames, too. They look good against the blue wall.

Gosh I love those curtains. The first time I stumbled in to your blog earlier this week, I immediately ran downstairs to see if there was ANY place in my home I could use them... i even considered reupholstering a chair in them... just won't work. So i'm bookmarking them to use in my dream studio... somehow I will use them in a room with yellow walls. Maybe I'll start a new design trend with my yellow, red, and black studio... ah... dreaming.
Hope you enjoy your disconnected day!
