Disconnet Day
Tuesday is my day to disconnect. While visiting Rebecca's blog, she offered up a little challenge. A challenge that I have actually been contemplating to do. I am unplugging tomorrow, from the computer and my ipod; two things that unintentionally distract me. I daydream while listening to my music, I space out while reading blogs, articles, emails on the computer. So tomorrow will be a gracious day to re-connect with what I am about, what I am doing and listen to where I am going. It will be a day of silence, crisp white paper and a pencil. Also, I have been trying to read A New Earth, you know the new Oprah phenomenon. Those two things are on my agenda along with making some banana bread. Challenge yourself to get unplugged from your distractions and take the time to breath in your bliss and listen to your inner self, we just may discover many new things. Feel inspired, feel creative, feel spontaneous. This may become a pleasing once a week habit.

Oh yes? And how did this go for you? I gave my ipod to my husband because I never used it, but give up my computer? My email? My blog? That would be a little tough for me!
Did you survive without permanent damage?
Hope so!

I guess I'm too late to unplug today! This is a wonderful idea and I'm thinking I'll do it this Saturday. I'm trying to read the book too - I'm still on the first few pages! I can't focus!

Your post really hit home with me today~I have been thinking how much time I spend on my computer~too much maybe. I also signed up for the New Earth discussions on Oprah. I have not bought the book yet, let me know what you think.
Thank You!

oooOOOhhhh...they are SO cute!!!
They arrived yesturday during my unplugged time...they are now on their own little "canvas" -i made some red paper on Sunday and used that as part of the canvas...we had frozen meals last night and I used the cardboard from one of the meals! The little piece of cardboard that came with them is now my quicky template to start making these little wonders. I put the envelope on the back to keep all the info about this together (I'll go back to the blog day and write up a story about this). Gotta go, my hubby just came home.

What a wonderful idea. I need a day away from distractions and some time to center myself. Love the image of your sweet dog relaxing.
